Not a pro at all but commenting on your photos I guess many people are now out shooting again since the weather got much nicer.

They are really nice, the exposure and sharpness looks spot on and you got nice colors there! I especially like the portraits (#1-#4). Maybe you could have framed #5 a little different (e.g. put the person to the left and cut a little closer). Picture #6 I would have done in portrait format. #7 I would have aimed a little lower to not cut of the feet of the lady so tight.

I have been to India in 2008 and it was a very interesting experience for me. I also had the same experience with people even asking me to take a photo.

I also have the 18-200 and initially was worried about it's sharpness. But many people have shown here that this lens works quite well. By now I am quite happy with the lens for general use! To much reading on the forums can get you unnecessary headaches, too
