Very good question, in fact i was wondering the same:
I want to buy an Epson R3000. Its specs mentions maximum thickness of 1.3mm.

I want also to buy canvas sheets from Breathing Color, but they mention that their sheets have a thickness of 19mil or 21mil depending of the type.

Will these canvas sheets be compatible with the the R3000?
I dont know if we can or how we can compare mil with mm.

One mil is a 1/1,000 inch. So to convert mils to mm, simply multiply by 0.0254

19 mil = 0.4826 mm
21 mil = 0.5334 mm
