Use an appropriate focal length lens and don't crop too much. Yes the d4 is the camera for sports, wildlife and any fast moving objects. 16 mp's is enough for this type of shooting if the image is not overly cropped.

Sounds like the d800 can be used for slow moving sports or wildlife, but not good for real action shots. In a fast moving sport sometimes to get the right action image it takes a fast frame shooting camera.
