Sigma no longer promotes its sealed lenses as splash proof?
The new 12-24mm, 105mm macro, 150mm macro, and 120-300mm were all announced with Sigma's new splash proof design.
However, Sigma no longer lists the splash proof design as a feature for the above mentioned lenses.
The only product that is now listed as splash proofed on the Sigma website is the SD1. It reads, "Splash proof design prevents dust and water from getting inside the camera body."
Is there a reason why Sigma no longer promotes its sealed lenses as splash proof? Legal issues? Warranty issues?
