High pitch whistle coming from Panasonic 14-140mm lens!
I have brought myself a Panasonic GH2 with 14-140mm lens which arrived today. I have been playing around with it today. And noticed a quite obvious noise coming from the lens. As soon as you switch the camera on there is a general low sound from the lens which I assume is correct and is not too bothersome. However this is followed by what sounds a bit like a high pitch whistle like you get from a poorly tuned AM radio! Its not that loud but annoying and can be heard on movie recordings. It seems to come and go but is mostly there. Removing and cleaning the lens contacts seemed to work for a short while but not for long! Is it normal behaviour or a possible fault? Any suggestions? Tuning the OIS and going to manual focusing has no effect on it. If I switch the camera on without the lens it is silent.
