I drove you folks nuts about tripods, lenses and camouflage when I decided to try my hand at bird photography. I used a Canon 300mm f4 L by itself or with a 1.4 Canon converter. I also picked up a Manfrotto 057 carbon tripod and a three way head. I sometimes used a large camouflage poncho, a camouflage printed tent or just dull green clothing.
Most of these birds are part of the seasonal migration between Africa and Europe that goes through Israel. They were photographed in the desert just north of Eilat in the southern tip of Israel. The ostrich was photographed in a drive through reserve. You can see the mountains of Jordan (Moab) in the background.
Will be pleased to have your input.
The dates shown are not correct. All photos are from March 25-28. I am evidently not understanding a simple date input.
