Re: Nikkor 105mm Made in China

In this day and age, the label "Made in XX" is increasingly devoid of any real meaning. As everyone knows, Apple's iPhones and iPads are mostly made by Foxconn's factories in China. And, within each iPhone or iPad are components that come from many, many countries. The factory in China, in many cases, is merely a final place of assembly in this extensive cross-border production chain. So long as quality control standards are well-enforced, there should be no problems

Incidentally, I do own a "Made in China" 105mm VR micro lens. I've tested it extensively against my other macro lenses, and found no issues with it. A brilliant lens indeed.
