Of course they CAN tell you. But why WOULD they?

For a huge retailer like Amazon, why on earth would they want to tell everybody (including their competitors) about the number of orders they get and how their stocking/fulfilling works.

If I owned a store, I wouldn't want everyone to know about my number of orders, and my stock levels, shipment sizes etc.
