D7000 vs D700 vs 5D Mark II

5DmkII AF nowhere near D7000

Two big differences between 5DmkII and D7000: AF and shadow recovery. Both absolutely lousy on the 5DmkII. I used one for two years, AF for anything less than static is problematic, unless you stick to the central point only. If you are used to recovering shadows, forget this on the 5DmkII. D700 is a lot better in both.

Of course, if you really need resolution and more pixels, it's either D800 or 5D...
