Botswana is wonderful - you'll have a great time.

I would buy a lens that gets you to 300mm, as others have suggested. And would also consider an EVF to be highly desirable. If you can, take either the Lumix 20 or Oly 45 for low ISO/landscape/sundown shots.

You could always sell gear you don't need upon return, and consider the depreciation as a 'rental' charge.
