RGB histogram and overexposure blinking on NX
Apr 22, 2012
Like most cameras, my NX100 has an option to make overexposed areas blink in the playback. Unfortunately it only will do this blinking if all three of the RGB channels are overexposed. If only the red channel is maxed out, for instance, it will not blink to indicate overexposure, unlike my other cameras.
Does anyone know if this is fixed in later NX cameras? i.e. will the playback blink if only a single channel is overexposed? Or if I'm just missing some obscure menu option in the NX100 to make it do that?
I noticed this while trying some portraits. I was blowing out the red channel with a flash in several shots and didn't realize it until I looked at the photos on the computer.
