The third is my fav too. The silhouette of the tree in the first two photos didn't work as well I think. Maybe if there was just a little moon light lighting up the tree.

When the moon is back, I'm keen to visit a lake one evening and try and get some star shots with nice reflections too.

I wonder if it is possible to do some 'light painting', I think that's what it's called, with a flash gun. As you are doing a long exposure it may be possible to fire a flash off, reduced output, a number of times to effectively 'paint' in the tree? I might have to try that myself come to think of it
