Try using the adjustment brush and paint the grass with minus saturation and also try painting with slight minus exposure.
Use a big Brush with smallish feather, turn off Auto mask and paint all over the grass just keep away from the bird, then make a smaller brush turn on auto mask and paint around bird (hover the crosshairs over the "pin" to see any areas you have missed)
Once painted you can move the saturation slider up or down to see different effects.
Conversely use the adjustment brush and paint the bird with plus saturation.This time leave auto mask on
