The 50 1.8 has a good reputation and is cheap an light - you could easily add that without breaking the bank. In the 35mm range it's trickier, the 35/2 Nikon does. Of have very good reputation, I went for the 35/2 Zeiss, which has great image quality, but only manual focus. One o of the cheaper Zeiss lenses too - so a good first to try the Zeiss look.
Rokinon 40 could be an interesting alternative too.
35/1.4 can't say anything... But not cheap, and not small and light.
24-70 not cheap and big & heavy!

I got the 24-70, but for prime walk around I am going to use the 35/2 Zeiss, maybe add the 50/1.8 later.
