Yeah the E-P1 IS good, I have used it on several of my "gigs" where AF-speed isn't the deciding factor.

Yes, IQ of the E-P1 was already very good. But it is plagued by many other severe problems :

  • no plug for E-VF and a mediocre LCD makes it very difficult to shoot in outdoors

  • slow AF, will lead to many missed shots save for immobile landscapes or still lifes.

  • the first kit lens was quite bad and slow focusing and made the IBIS impossible to use between 1/60 and 1/125 sec. And that's just the speeds at which it would be usefull for the long end.

So if anyone wants to upgrade, you have the arguments laid down now ! But those arguments aren't valid if you own an E-P3 !
