The 190 is too light. The 055 will do. Thom's advice makes no sense to me. It is very costly advice and one tripod does not fit all tasks. I have a very heavy sturdy and relatively cheap tripod for studio use and an 055 for travel. This works very well for me. Manfrotto heads I dislike and their plates are unsafe. I have a Markins M20 and a Manfrotto 486 with a Markins plate for my monopods.
