I'm seriously considering not buying the E-M5 kit with the 12-50 but get the 14-42 instead. I'm not familiar with this lens as far as the sharpness goes. I'm searching for some sample photos made with the Oly 14-42. If you have some great examples, please share. Also please share your experience with this lens.

In the future, I'm considering buying the 45 f/1.8 and more...but for now, if I get the OM-D kit, I will get one of the kit lenses since I have no m4/3 gear at all right now.

The 12-50mm is the lens to get if you really need weathersealing. It was a must have for me. For the moment there's no comparable lens available that has fast AF AND is weathersealed.

It isn't that expenpensive €200,- so it's in the same price category as the 14-42.
When better lenses come out later on I will prob sell this one.
I also have the 14-54mm but the adapter MMF3 isn't available yet.

So for now the kit + 12-50is a very good deal.

BTW the 12-50mm isn't that bad IQ wise either.
