FZ150 amateur studio shots with flash

While there has been a few discussions about the indoor performance of the FZ150 on these forums, I thought I might share what I've trying with my camera at home.

I did not like the indoor shots I was getting with just the pop-up flash, but I like the camera and would rather not buy a DSRL just for one kind of shot. So I ordered a big speedlight (Yunguo YN560-II) and shot my first "studio" style images.

All of these are bounce-flash to ceiling (my ceilings are white popcorn), Manual mode, ISO set to 100. I also processed the hell out of 'em. The last portrait I was able to print at 11x14 and I think the print looks great. "Models" are my sister and my dog, both kindly posed for me.

So, while it doesn't effect the discussion of whether or not the FZ150 is good for, say, little kids running around inside, and the focusing time in low light is not great, there is a way to shoot indoors if you really want to.
