LX-5 Some shuttle Discovery shots

Well done.. agree with Peg, for this kind of photography is LX5 needing extra 'muscles' ;) .. nevertheless the fourth and fifth - with some cropping, could be a keepers.. my favorite is #2, LOL ..

Thanks for sharing, :D

I always try to convince myself that I can always "zoom with my feet". In fact you should zoom with your feet. But every once and a while you really need more glass. Today was one of those days. The LX-5 is a great camera, but you might consider adding a ZS15 or 20 to your kit.

Lucky you!! #4 and #5 are really great shots. I've worked for NASA for over 25 years and not had the opportunity see the shuttle fly (saw a landing once).

....is the shot of that lovely looking woman because it leaves much to the imagination. The shuttle shots? Bad....but only because you cannot really see much of anything. Time for a bridge camera?

Def looking into a new camera to do what this guy can't. Might get a gh1/13 one day. I love those video capabilities.

Really did feel lucky to be able to witness this. Especially from my own home.

Can I get a hot dog water on the rocks?

And this is where we all find that 90mm is not much of a telephoto! :)
I'll wager these are better than the one you have.
No surprises regarding the reach of the lens.
Those that have it know exactly what it excels at and what it doesn't.
Still , they aren't bad for a limited reach.
