None of which have any bearing on professional usage of the OP. The resolution issue is your assumption. As the OP stated the choices under consideration then I'm pretty confident that the resolution was sufficiently considered. It must have been, as Walter stated he went for a D7000.

I'm sure that Walter will be able to tell us all if the quality meets his requirements now he has purchased one. I'd be surprised if it didn't.
