Happy Easter to me!
Just purchased a 7D from CLP for $1087(plus tax) I hope I dont regret it.
Can't wait to try it out at the upcoming track meets!
What is a good memory card for the 7D? I have a SanDisk Extreme III in my 50D. Is that kind good or is there something better?
Oh and if anyone is looking for a 5dmII they have them for $1407
According to the 7D owner's manual, the camera requires "Type I or Type II CF card, UDMA compatible". I don't believe that the Sandisk Extreme III is UDMA compatible. http://www.dpreview.com/news/2004/9/28/sandisk_extremeIII
The currently available Sandisk CF cards with UDMA are the Extreme and Extreme Pro lines. http://www.sandisk.com/products/dslr/sandisk-extreme-compactflash-card
Having said all that, I think that it depends on how you plan to use the camera. If you will be shooting 8 FPS bursts for extended periods, then you will need the UDMA enabled media. For single shot operation, the Extreme III should work fine.
When you get down to the nuts and bolts of photography, the results depend on the 'nut' behind the camera!
See the 'Gear List' in my 'Profile' for my current equipment.
