Re: G1X Accessory Lens(es)

Well, I'm really hesitant to post this, but when I got my filter adaptor, I tried my 1.75 x TC DC58N on my G1X and optically it worked fine without vignetting a FL > = 85 mm. However, it is way too heavy and awkward hanging off the end of the zoom lens to use regularly that way. One small bump and you'll ruin the zoom mechanism. A tube could be mounted at the base of the lens to mount it like previous Gs. I won't use it until Lensmate makes that type of arrangement and strongly discourage others.

I really think photographers who want to regularly use focal lengths greater than 100 mm equivalent should get themselves at least a Rebel kit with the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. I like my G cameras but they are a supplement to my DSLRs and I live within their design limits.
