An E-P3 with 17mm (35mm equiv.) and optical viewfinder is absolutely great as a carry-everywhere camera. It will also be much more useful than an M9 as an "all-round" system. Also, a complete PEN kit with 2 bodies and 4 or 5 lenses still could easily be carried around by a weaker or less healthy person. (Plus you don't need a giant backpack which will make a simple lens-change into a complicated event usuitable for fragile people.)

E-M5, E-P3, 12-50, 17+OVF, 40-150, 45mm, 25mm Leica... will fit in a small shoulder-bag that will also fit 5D3 + 24-105 + not much more.

Last, it will save you a LOT of money, which could for example be spent on a few plane-tickets to some interesting places. (Don't know if that's an option with your illness, but money-wise the difference will take you round the globe, probably...)

Hope your health will last long enough for you to enjoy whatever you end up buying.

Thank you, Lourens!

Your suggestions are good, but I want the best. I have now a Pentax K-5, and it produces pretty fine pictures. But Canon L lenses are really, really good, so that is what I want. And the Canon 5D Mark III look just super.
