Just a few nature shots....

It's funny, back lighting usually drives me freaking crazy ! Well, actually, it did on these couple trips to, but still, some of the stuff came out useable...

Oh, taken with my often misfocusing T1i, and my awesome 400mm F5.6 lens

Extremely backlit, and pretty heavy crop, but for me anyway, American Bitterns are really tough ! Trippy birds. You should hear their call. Sounds like a bass drum

Don't know why the photo thing won't let me put these in my own order But anyway, this is an Ibis, swallowing a crawdad. You can see more of the bird down below.

This little Momma' Kildeerhad built a small nest, literally 8" onto the side of the road ! And she was flat glued to it ! One smart thing though > she built it right inline with about a 15 lb boulder, sitting about 1 foot behind it {or in front of it, depending on what direction you were driving. Anybody hits her, and they will have a tire and wheel to replace !

Hey, especially on this shot, I really hope most of you guys can see this on an HD monitor, set are at 100%, and are expanding the shots to max size.

Reason I say this, is that this is the only was I can get these shots to look even decently sharp.

So anyway, if you have ^ in check, I really like how you can see the dropplets > not reflecting, but refracting the light from the dropletts. BL big time.... and a heavy crop.... but I like the shot. I love Buffleheads

Hope you enjoy them
