Dynamic Range Normal-High ISO (400 and above)

Winner: 5D3/Both

The 5D3 has a variable dynamic range advantage over the D800, from very slight to somewhat prominent at normal to high ISO. The overwhelming majority of the time the advantage of the 5D3 is slight .

The source is http://home.comcast.net/~NikonD70/Charts/PDR.htm

Charts are a bit complicated for the beginner however it is very easy to spot where you went wrong.
You compared the D800 PDR in DX mode against the 5DMKIII in FX mode

When FX modes are compared the D800 has the higher Photographic Dynamic Range from ISO 100 up to ISO 2010

At ISO 2456 The 5D edges ahead & stays in the lead as ISO increases It is a very slight lead scores are almost identical at ISO 8,045 the 5DMKIII has a PDR of 5.54
and the D800 has a PDR of 5.5

Where's my magnifying glass let me see if I can spot any more errors.
