Reverse Mounted Sigma 30mm 2.8
In case anyone was curious; I've posted a shot using the Sigma 30mm f2.8 lens reverse mounted. I used a 46-49mm step up ring combined with a 49mm reverse mounting ring to get the lens onto the camera. Unfortunately, the aperture cannot be adjusted this way, and the free-floating element in the lens prevents it from being focused manually (you'll have to focus by moving the camera closer to or further from the object). Still, with some decent light, it's a workable macro alternative.
The shot above was done hand held with the NEX-3, shutter priority 1/100, ISO 400. Day was overcast, so the flash was used as well. OOC JPEG, no post processing has been preformed.
