Re: Makes sense!

well if you consider that i work also as a freelance photojournalist and i m searching for a solution for replace both my 5D mII and GH2 and replace with just 1 mirrorless solution, the Fuji solution its not ideal...altough i was temped ,for many reasons:
1) slow AF (the biggest cons...)

i m selling my GH2 couse the only lens i love (in term of Focal lenght) is the 20mm 1.7 but its painfull slow...so bye bye m43 (leica 25mm 1.4 its too long as universal lens, while my panasonic 14mm 2.5 its too short and not enough fast...just 2.5!) , its impossible change this lens with a sigma 19mm on m43 couse the sensor is noisy so you need a very fast lens...

2)12mp are not enough for my standard and my needs, and if you have just 1 lens well sometimes you will need to crop..
if only fuji will put the X1 sensor inside the

3) i can survive with just 1 focal lenght like a 24mm that s perfect but especially when i m in a photographic travel (i.e. if i spend 1 month in china only for taking photos) i need also a good zoom to use in the 10/20% of case where the prime is not enough, with GH2 i used the wonderful 14-45mm that is razor sharp...while sony 18-55 (i owned) its low quality with 24mp especially, samsung 18-55 its also low quality, 20-50mm is good but without WA and not stabilized...

regarding price...yes i understand that NEX7 cost much more and also the 24mm cost more...but if you want replace 5D MII and GH2 well this is the last thing you will think

Just not more expensive, the NEX 24/1.8 is larger and heavier than the 20+30 pancakes combined - and the 30/2 outperforms it at about 25% of the cost

He doesn't realize it, but what he really should get is Fuji's X100. Not the highest resolution, but greater IQ, a superb optical/digital viewfinder, and the kind of camera that HCB fans lust after. Since he's willing to settle for a single fixed focal length lens, and the X100 provides his desired focal length, it would seem to be a no-brainer, loosely speaking, of course.
