Why on earth IR do something so stupid!

Please stop lying to yourself and read the test methodology at IR.

Bottom line: Canon cheats with the ISO setting and at a given ISO needs 60% more light than Nikon for a given exposure - and as I see it that is the ONLY way IR can perform the tests - Chose an ISO setting and aperture, and then dial in the shutter that give you a set exposure (gray 122, 122, 122). They even tell us that is the way they do it by stating ISO, light level, aperture AND shutter time under every file.
