Very nice photos!
Nice compositions, good rendering and colors.

Very true.

I have to ask though.... aside from mechanical wear, how does age affect camera output? The only thing I can see coming-up is if/when someone would want to move into high resolutions, RAW flexibility or areas such as FPS, video etc. Otherwise, I don't think it really matters what system one uses since they all seem capable of very good IQ.

Age as such makes no difference, of course - it's the technical advances that come over time. In general I don't think these improve the quality of photos; rather, they extend the shootable range.

I sold my DS long ago but when I go back to my DNGs I find shots that are barely acceptable (visible shadow noise) that my K-5 can take at a stroll. But that's relatively rare - most things have pretty similar IQ.

When I bought my K-5 I went through about a year's-worth of K-7 shots and found something like 5% where the K-5 would make a visible difference; and identified cases where I'd stopped with the K-7 because I knew it wasn't up to the job. I haven't done a similar exercise going further back but I'd guess that in most situations the D and DS would produce shots just as good (at normal sizes) as the newest cameras.
