Not necessarily. Dynamic range can be affected by several things, including noise levels in the camera. In principle, the larger the individual pixel, the greater the dynamic range because each pixel can store more charge and handle more photons. But noise levels can clip the the bottom of the dynamic range. Actual cameras demonstrate that there is more to dynamic range than pixel full well depth. The CCDs we use for astronomy have extremely large dynamic range because they have big pixels and they have low noise- about two electrons per pixel for a good one. Full well depth is over 100,000 electrons.
