P510 - the very first impression and a video tip

P510 is much more complex than my SP810UZ, so for the moment I'm making only some erratic tests. First of all I tried the issue Brown592 raised, and, indeed, when filming and zooming in you loose focus at about half the interval. But there is a tip: starting BACKWARDS, i.e. at full tele and then zooming out and in again, the focus persist and it's even faster than of my Oly. As I've read in the manual that you can cut parts of a movie, it seems not to be an important issue.

I'd like to ask Brown592 to test this and confirm me, because I've tried it twice with the same result.

As for other tests, mainly full zoom of fixed targets by day with handheld camera in P default mode, the P510 was significantly better than my Oly.

I'll be back as soon as I'll have a clear opinion.

Happy shooting everyone,
