Sigma 19mm lens in-stock at Park Cameras (UK)
I got hold of the new Sigma 19mm prime this morning at Park Cameras, where they had just been delivered. I've managed a few shots on my NEX-7 this afternoon, and first impressions are that it is very sharp and contrasty, but with some pretty spectacular purple fringing in uncorrected raws. The fringing seems less severe in JPEGs straight from the camera - suggesting that there is some correction in the NEX-7 body's JPEG conversion.
It looks and feels very well made, with beautifully smooth manual focusing. It's nice and light, and it handles well on the NEX-7.
So far, I'm pleased with it!
