150/2.8 Sigma

What a waist of time it would be not to use canon bodies in the future.

So 5DIII has just been shipped today, 5D will be reserve, and 10D will be for loaning to friends (with a lens).

With those lenses, I would be panicking selling the lenses and figuring out a good future system like Nikon. I had just some ten or so Sigmas... and they seem to be as good lenses and French cars.

Rain - not working
Cold - not working
Cloudy - not working
Monday - not working

Switching to real gear, I haven´t had one single failure since... 300.000 shots and not one single problem. Ok, only three years since, but so far perfect.

Nonsense. I've used five Sigma's over the last five years, most of which were heavily used at aviation events with occasional rain and a lot of dust. I will admit one problem - after 4.5 years, my 17-70 (purchased used, at that) just turned into a 17mm prime. (And it wasn't even Monday.) My local shop believes it's a very reasonable repair.

I think I have real gear.

What I'm missing is a certain attitude, I guess.
