When Hades Freezes Over

Cameras are too complicated and too mechanical for the Chinese slave camps to get right. The japanese are too good at such things. As another poster pointed out, cameras are part of a system where all the accessories have to work together. This adds to the precision required.

Automation also reduces the labor cost advantage every year. Chinese affluence will also reduce the labor advantage. The Chinese will also have a problem keeping their currency artificially low soon. It will be much like the financing bubble in the US and Europe in reverse.
