Re: Interesting things I found out about the NX10's video mode
I tried the NX10 for conference recording/small group sessions at work in place of an HD JVC video camera. The downside of the HD Cam was that the output was in JVC TOG format and requires full editing software to produce a result. The camera doesn't give 'out of box' movies, so the result has to go to IT for post processing.
The NX10 gives basic AVI's out of the camera but the results are horrible. The quality in low light is not good, jerky framerate and jello shutter when panning etc. The real downside is no mic input as in a quiet meeting the camera mic pics up all kinds of noise, some kind of low frequency humming and all the chirps and clicks of the auto focus which seems to continuously re-focussing.
Unfortunately I found it completely useless for any serious work / voice coaching training sessions.
