Probably a warm effect of tungsten or the ambient lights as well. It can be adjusted.

I've noticed a trend towards pushing the color saturation up a lot as well among the manufacturers, much like when Fuji pushed out Velvia film and its punchy colors. I've turned my Saturation control down in the menu. I can always raise it later in post if I need to.

I suspect any camera will need some sort of fine tuning to suit the owner. Just the way stuff is now. Lots of menu choices to make - maybe far too many, and some old school pros don't like to deal with it either I've found so they are still stuck in the film era.
