Replacement for Optio A40
Just the other day, someone gave me back the Optio A30 they had "borrowed" about three years ago ... still works, and produces surprisingly good results, as long as you stick to base ISO.
For a small cam I went out and bought the Fuji X10 the other week - pretty good, surprisingly good optical VF, usable high ISO etc. It's true what they say about orbs (see DP Review front page news items recently), but fortunately it seems that Fuji are going to fix that for free. Even before the fix I'm happy with it. Not exactly pocketable.
Rather miss that tiny Optio 5i that I left on a Bangkok bar top several years ago
(almost) as bad as me leaving my backpack w/ my laptop on the bus last September :o
that really was small and had an optical VF of sorts ...
