If 45/1.8 is so small, can't we have a 45/1.4 or faster still reasonably small?

If 45/1.8 is so small, can't we have a 45/1.4 or faster still reasonably small?

That 45/1.8 is one of the main reason i'm convinced to swap over to 4/3 and be OK with sacrificing a bit of DOF with the other lenses. However, the larger the aperture better within reason. If the 45/1.8 is so small (tiny really for 90mm effective), would not a 45/1.4 be still small enough - say like a legacy 50mm 1.4 lens? Or even a 45/1.2....

Yes, yes, I know I'm pushing it but am curious.
