Canon G1X vs Sony DSC-R1 (old) for landscapes?

Hi, I know this looks like an odd comparison but I am interested to know some views on the older Sony R1 versus G1X for mostly landscape/scenery.

G1X has decent sized sensor, 14mp, 28mm f2.8, 112 f5.8 max aperture, OVF, good IS.
R1 has APS-C sensor, 8mp, 24mm wide f2.8, 120 f4.8 max aperture, EVF, no IS.

Obviously one is new and expensive, the other is older and would be 2nd hand. Any one own or owned a R1 who now owns or is going to own a G1X?

I am not into macro or sports so the 'slow' AF or non-macro of G1X is a non issue. I am looking for top landscape IQ, dynamic range, clarity, detail etc. Also good OOC jpeg too.
Sony 24 wide looks good but Canon G1X reviews give great IQ.
What are the biggest pros and cons of each for 'landscape' photography?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-F5
