Re: A good quality home printer for up to 13"x17"

You could get a Canon Pro9000 Mk II off your local Craigslist for around $150 to $200. These were bought with a Canon DSLR and the buyer hoped to make a bundle reselling the printer. There have been so many offered that I have seen them offered for as low as $125. They come brand new with a full set of inks. The UPC has been removed for the rebate. I have two bought that way and even got a new printhead (got clogged) from Canon for free. Any printer you buy will use lots of ink which is what can make the cost of home printing high. Those of us who print alot refill our empty Canon cartridges and reap big cost benefits.

If you want a pigment printer there are sometimes Canon Pro9500 Mk IIs available also - somewhat more costly but a good deal.
