Sony confirms again the end of their DLSR lineup

I'm sorry to bring in the bad news for today (already stated on TechRadar) but somebody had to do it, news that some of us intuited long time ago since SLT technology. " rel="nofollow] "Paul Genge stressed that the firm would continue to target the DSLR market.

'We are not pulling out of the DSLR category,' he said, adding: 'Given the level of investment Sony is putting into SLT, it is highly unlikely we will ever introduce another DSLR… "

By no means I am saying that SLT is wrong and it could really be the future since it has plenty of potential but for me a850 is the end of the game in alpha line for the near future. I hope I have the necessary resources to afford keeping my a850 if not I may downgrade to a700 or even better a Minolta 7d if I find a good one. I've learned to 'never say never' though because back in the days when I was a fanatic I told myself I will never shoot Canon. Guess what camera I shoot now, besides my a850 :).

It's just that for the moment I don't like what Sony is putting on the table in terms of IQ.
