Monitors - Wide Gamut etc ?
Best review sites for photographers are http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ and http://www.prad.de/en/index.html IMHO. On dpreview look for posts by NewsyL, who is one of the best informed posters on monitors.
Wide-gamut monitors will display correct colours only with colour-managed software, and only if the monitor has been profiled/calibrated with a hardware device (ColourMunki, Spyder etc). Managed software includes most photo editors and some browsers (Firefox and Safari but not IE or Chrome - not even IE9). Non-managed software, including the Windows desktop, will tend to be rather over-saturated and garish.
