It depends though,you wo't have 4-5 stops to play with if your scene has a lot of dynamic range, you may have less than nothing to play with.

That hasn't been the case so far and I have been using the 5DII for 3-4 years and a 20D before that. My primary interest in the dark frames is to make sure that the thing didn't get any worse which it looks like it hasn't – it looks like they have improved it a bit.
