Portraits with the e-pl2 and Panasonic 20/1.7

Very nice! You seem to have captured the happy, fun side of people. Thanks for posting these, I enjoyed looking at them.

of using the 20mm for head and shoulders shots.

It is too short and renders and unatractive perpective.

You many have been trying to get that effect but most models would not apprediate it.

I don't think that you can get closer than waist up portriats with 20mm on u 4/3.

For shots like the last one of a group, it works great. Even the UPS man is fine, but you are begining to see some distortions due to its shorter than normal forcal lenght.

The Panny 20/1.7 has very good resolving power. Thus, one can step back a bit as TEdolph suggested and take portraits. Then crop for more head-and-shoulders' perspective if one wants without losing much image quality.
 
They are nice shots, especially the first. However, I can't but wonder if the Oly 45 1.8 would be much sharper with the rest.
