Yes, I've read the book a few times over the last decade. The characters were exaggerations of human traits designed to make a point, which is to say I didn't take it as literally or personally as some. The philosophy behind the hyperbole is easy to see every day in most human behavior.

Carolyn, on this Forum, advised me to re-read "The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged."

I think not! Frankly her books make my head hurt. They are not an easy read and frankly a little "screwy" IMHO.

However, the movie "The Fountainhead" - Gary Cooper, Patricia Neal, Raymond Massey etc. is among my collection of favorites. Evidently when Rand wrote the screenplay for the film she managed to get to the heart of the story, but not without a lot of help. So said King Vidor the Director of the film.
In any event She, Rand, is a classic writer nontheless.
