I just saw 5dmk3 and Nikon D800 samples on their official sites and I'm...

...blown away with D800 and D800e!! And In the same time very sad because of 5dmk3.

I'm a 7D user, wanting to switch to 5DMK2 for price reasons... but now I'll just wait.

It's not just the detail... the whole pixel-peeped photos look natural and incredibly detailed.

For example:

Now, just look at the detail there! Incredible.

In the same time, 5dmk3 example:

... that looks like it came from some good P&S camera! Look at the detail in the back... smudged. I know this won't show in print, but that limits the cropping value. It's not just this image, almost every sample on Canon's site is soft and a bit plasticky - too "digital" looking.

And I won't even mention the D800e... that's even more to the extreme. Take a look by yourself, it's all on Nikon's official site.

I don't know what to say anymore - Nikon either took the time and made incredible samples... or made truly incredible camera(s). OR maybe Canon should kick those who made these awful samples.
