Does everyone use the articulated LCD screen flipped out each time you take a shot?

Of course I can't speak for everyone, but that is exactly how I use my G11 for 95% of my shots. It is second nature to me; as soon as I pick up the camera I flip out the LCD, twist it to about 75ยบ and place my left hand under the open LCD with my left thumb in the LCD 'well'. It's worked for me for years with my last three Canons and is brilliant for candid shots as no-one realises you are actually shooting

That makes sense, f I wanted to discreet.

I prefer to leave it flipped on the body (LCD facing me) so the flip out thing doesn't bother me.

If I did this I'd have to hold the camera out in front of my face which I find unstable, uncomfortable and tiring, but everyone has their own preferred methods

I guess whatever works, is the best!
