Re: Can't transfer pics off PowerShot ELPH 310 HS
I don't know much about Macs
but can you try a card reader to load your pictures?
(but with the newer SD cards, I had to get a newer card reader for my computer )

Hello- I have a Canon Power Shot ELPH310 HS (IXUS 230 HS) camera, a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 and haven't been able to transfer pics off the camera and onto the laptop (via the USB cable.) I have the cable plugged in, turn on the camera, then hit the play/arrow button but the computer doesn't seem to recognizing the device. Nothing on desktop, nothing in finder.
Did install the full driver package (lost my original DVD and used install DVD from a Canon EOS camera) and tried importing the pics thru the ImageBrowser app but again, it doesn't recognize that a computer is connected. Since installing the software I did notice that when I cable the cam to the computer and start the camera, the "CameraWindow" app icon in my dock seems to be opening - but then stops attempting to open after 3-4 seconds. Actually doesn't seem possible to open that app at all.
Any advice would be extremely helpful.
Thanks, Nick Ravich
