Severe chroma noise on OM-D images

Don't jump the gun

It's pretty difficult to declare a noise issue based on one image ... and even more difficult based on only part of one image.

The fact that the weird colors only appear in the part of the gray car exposed to sunlight and the fact that there is a weird "blotch" appearance to the green color rather than a typical noise "pattern" also gives me pause.

When I turn up the saturation in Photoshop the strange color looks to me more like a JPEG engine's failed attempt to render subtle color shifts in the car's clear coat ... a phenomenon that isn't uncommon when photographing glossy car surfaces under uncontrolled lighting.

I would need to see more photos showing these type of strange "color blotches" before I cry foul ... otherwise I might be crying wolf.
