Yes, I agree that the FZ150 did surprisingly well, but do keep in mind the limitations that I mentioned in the comparison -- the small EVF makes tracking a fast moving subject difficult, so there was a higher percent of shots with the subject partially out of the frame (vs. the 7d); the greater noise in shadow areas, especially the faces (not so apparent in these low resolution web images); and the greater difficulty the FZ150 had with sharp light contrasts and wide dynamic range.

Still, given the significant size, weight, and price differences you could certainly do much worse than the FZ150. You get a very ergonomic and versatile camera at a cost much lower than a DSLR (with equivalent lenses).
